Alexander's baptism took place on January 4th, 1741 in North Bradley.1  Alexander's father was James Read and his mother was Ann.  His paternal grandparents were John Read and Elizabeth. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Phinehas, Bathsheba and Sarah.  He died in 1769.  He was buried on August 19th, 1769 in North Bradley.2
