Benjamin's baptism took place on December 10th, 1752 in North Bradley.1  Benjamin's father was Benjamin Mitchel and his mother was Ann Butcher.  His paternal grandparents were Solomon Mitchel and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were Aaron Butcher and Rebekah Elliot. He had a brother and a sister, named Solomon and Ann. He had three half-sisters named Elizabeth, Grace and Mary.  He was buried on February 10th, 1826 in North Bradley.2
