Joanna's baptism took place on July 22nd, 1798 in North Bradley.1  Joanna's father was Robert Francis and her mother was Mary Bissee (Bissie).  Her paternal grandparents were James Francis and Mary Butcher; her maternal grandparents were Anthony Bissey and Elizabeth Coller. She had a brother named Robert.
