Benjamin was born about August 1788 and his baptism took place on February 11th, 1798 in North Bradley.1  Benjamin's father was James Deacon and his mother was Mary Morris.  His paternal grandparents were William Deacon and <Unknown>. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Esau, James, Esau, Mary, Sarah, Jane, Betty and Elizabeth.
