Robert was born about 1753 and his baptism took place on December 26th, 1753 in North Bradley.1  Robert's father was Samuel Butcher and his mother was Sarah Barton. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Samuel, Reuben, Mary, Mary, Ann and Sarah.
