Reuben's baptism took place on July 12th, 1763 in North Bradley.1  Reuben's father was Samuel Butcher and his mother was Sarah Barton. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert, John, Samuel, Mary, Mary, Ann and Sarah.  He died in 1764.  He was buried on April 8th, 1764 in North Bradley.2
