Henry was born on June 12th, 1826 and his baptism took place on October 21st, 1838 conducted by Curate Charles Burney.1  Henry's father was Robert Ward and his mother was Lydia Everett.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Ward and Elizabeth Winch; his maternal grandparents were William Everett and Mary Argent. He had a brother and three sisters, named William, Jane, Mary and Sarah.  He was the oldest of the five children.
