Alfred was born in 1844.1  Alfred's father was Samuel Walker and his mother was Hannah Waterhouse.  His paternal grandparents were John Walker and Mary; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Waterhouse and Leah Turner. He had three brothers and a sister, named Richard, Joseph, Frederick and Marian.  He was the second youngest of the five children.





Alfred's family

Alfred and Ann were married in a religious ceremony in 1866.  They had two sons and four daughters, named Samuel, Walter, Violet, Maria, Annie and Edith.
