Sarah was born in 1799 and her baptism took place on December 12th, 1799 in St Matthew`s Church, Hayfield.1  Sarah's father was Peter Turner and her mother was Nanny Hadfield.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Turner and Leah. She had three brothers named Peter, John and James.  She was the youngest of the four children.
