Ralph was born on December 9th, 1894 in Sculcoates, Hull.¹

Ralph's father was Thomas Rack and his mother was Sarah Emma Skinner. His paternal grandparents were John Rack and Mary Richardson; his maternal grandparents were Michael Hill Skinner and Ellen (Helen) Bainbridge. He was an only child. He died at the age of 66 on October 23rd, 1961 in Keelby. He was cremated in Grimsby.²
