Her paternal grandparents were John Leslie and Elizabeth ?Ashcroft; her maternal grandparents were Robert Fairbourne and Isabella Harley. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, Robert and Edith. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 78 on December 3rd, 1941 in Budleigh Salterton, Devon. She was buried in Budleigh Salterton, Devon.
