John Ashcroft Westbrook Leslie

John was born on March 13th, 1873.¹   John's father was William Elgar Leslie and his mother was Frances West Baldwin.  His paternal grandparents were John Leslie and Elizabeth ?Ashcroft; his maternal grandparents were William Baldwin and Ann West. He had three brothers and six sisters, named John, William, Walter, Frances, Elizabeth, Mary, Eliza, Hannah and Edith.  He was the second youngest of the ten children.
