John Jenkins
John was born in 1860 in Shoreditch, Middlesex.1  John's father was David Jenkins and his mother was Frances (Fanny) Sarah Wood.  His paternal grandparents were John (James) Jenkins and Jane Morgan; his maternal grandparents were George Wood and Sophia (Eliza) Hawes. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Henry, Arthur, Walter, David, Helen, Clara and Jane.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.





John's family

John and Eliza were married in a religious ceremony in 1882.  They had two sons named Sydney and David.
