Maria Magdalena Winterbach 
Maria was born on June 16th, 1782 in Tulbagh. Maria's father was Johann Carl Winterbach and her mother was Maria Magdalena Huijsamer. Her paternal grandparents were Johann Dietrich Winterbach and Anna Margaretha Meulen; her maternal grandparents were Georg Friedrich Huijsamer and Catharina Helena Carstens. She had a brother and two sisters, named Johannes, Anna and Gertruida. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had a half-sister named Dina. She died at the age of 41 on December 19th, 1823 in Cape Town.1 Death Notes
