Daniel was born on July 1st, 1850.  Daniel's father was William E. Hishon and his mother was Frances Langford.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Hishon and Mary Enright. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Bill (William), Possibly James, Mary, Sara(h), Margaret, Bessie (Elizabeth), Ellen, Frances and Kate (Catherine).  He was the eighth oldest of the ten children.
