George was born on February 17th, 1889 in Qld, Australia.1  George's father was William Gregory and his mother was Grace  Nixon Richards Chappel.  His paternal grandparents were John Gregory and Caroline Floyd; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Chappel and Ann Nixon Richards Williams. He had three brothers and two sisters, named George, William, Albert, Annabella and Sylvia.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 71 on September 5th, 1960 in Townsville, Qld, Australia.  He was buried on September 6th, 1960 in Belgian Gardens Cemetery, Townsville, Qld.2 1
