In the 1871 English Census, Grace was recorded as having a family name of Nicholas but I think that this a typo and ment to be Nixon (Williams) and also recorded as being the head of the family as well as a widow, looking after her 3 sons, all miners, James N Williams (20), William H N Williams(17) and Richard Williams (11), all living at Lower Trewellard, St Just, Cornwell.
Grace N. was recorded, in the 1881 English Census, as a Widow with a family name of Williams and was Housekeeper For Son, William H N Williams a Tin Miner aged 25 who was born in St Just, Cornwell
