Angelique was born on April 7th, 1809 in Lummen.1   Angelique's father was Joseph Oyen and her mother was Anna Catharina Gaethofs.  Her paternal grandparents are Pierre Oyen and Anna Gijsens; her maternal grandparents were Petrus (Pierre) Gaethofs and Maria Schaenen (Schraenen).  She had a brother and a sister, named Pierre and Marie Therese.  She was the second oldest of the three children.
