Ludovicus Gaeters

Ludovicus was born on September 12th, 1821 in Lummen.¹ Ludovicus' father was Petrus Henricus (Hendrik) Gaethofs and his mother was Catherina Smets. His paternal grandparents were Jean (Joannes) Gaethofs and Catherina Vandebos (Vandenbosch); his maternal grandparents were André Smets and Marie Hélène Aerts. He had three brothers and a sister, named Jean, Augustinus, Josephus and Antonette. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 68 on February 20th, 1890 in Lummen.¹
