Andrew Reekie

Andrew was born on November 4th, 1832 in Auchtertool. Andrew's father was Andrew Reekie and his mother was Janet Fernie. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Reekie and Janet Watt; his maternal grandparents were James Fernie and Janet Ruthven. He had a brother and two sisters, named James, Mary and Jane. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died due to mania, general paralysis and gradual exhaustion at the age of 47 on March 31st, 1880 in Lochgelly.¹
