Marijona was born in 1899.  Marijona's father was Vincentas Šimanskis and her mother was Agnieška Januškaitė.  Her paternal grandparents were Simonas Šimanskis and Kotryna Šimkevičiūtė. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Aleksandras, Kazimieras, Jurgis, Kazimieras, Ona, Marijona  and Pranciška.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  She died in 1899.
