John Adam POINTON

John was born on July 23rd, 1873 in Aldinga, SA.¹   John's father was Thomas POINTON and his mother was Ann CASTLE.  His paternal grandparents were James POINTON and Peggy POLKINGHORNE. He had a brother and two sisters, named Arthur, Edith and Ethel.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Henry, Edgar, John, Myra, Flossie, Rosetta, Ella and Sylvia.
