Edith was born on May 29th, 1887 in Alma, SA.1 Edith's father was Charles William MORRELL and her mother was Maria POINTON. Her paternal grandparents were Charles MORRELL and Jane Bradford WEBBER; her maternal grandparents were Jeremiah POINTON and Frances BROWN. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named Herbert, Reginald, Arthur, Edgar, Roy, Leslie, Horace, Egerton, Amy, Elsie, Florence, Edith and May. She was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children. She had a half-brother named Frederick.-
