Mary was born in 1829 in Duffield Derbyshire.  Mary's father was William Mason and her mother was Eliza Turner.  Her maternal grandfather is <Unknown> and her maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Turner. She had two brothers named Thomas and John.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Herbert.  She died at the age of 59 on August 1st, 1888 in Waitakerei New Zealand.
