John Martin

John was born on May 26th, 1890 in Wirrabara Forest, SA..¹ John's father was Charles Martin and his mother was Jane Phillis. His maternal grandparents were John Phillis and Elizabeth Turner. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Frederick, Percy, Lucy and Edith. He was the third oldest of the six children.
