John Buxton 
John was born in May 1815 in Crich Carr, Derbyshire, England. John's father was Henry Buxton and his mother was Nanny Wheatcroft. His maternal grandparents were Abraham Wheatcroft and Ann Turner. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, German, David , William , Abraham, Francis Henry, Marianne and Olivia . He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.-
