Margaret Raine

Margaret was born in 1814 in Middleton, Teesdale, Co Durham and her baptism took place there on August 28th, 1814.¹   Margaret's father was John Raine and her mother was Mary Bainbridge.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Raine and Margaret Gibson. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, William, Mary, Mary, Mary and Ann.  She was the oldest of the seven children.
