Mary Raine

Mary was born in 1826 in Middleton, Teesdale, Co Durham and her baptism took place there on May 21st, 1826.¹   Mary's father was John Raine and her mother was Mary Bainbridge.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Raine and Margaret Gibson. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, William, Margaret, Mary, Mary and Ann.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.
