Helene was born on May 24th, 1892.  Helene's father was Wilhelm Friedrich Christoph Laue and her mother was Hanna Friederike Louise Scherf. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Herman, Otto, Heinrich, Friedrich, Friedrich, Marie, Sophie, Cathrine, Elise and Anna.  She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Johannes and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 59 on March 28th, 1952.
