Robert was born on July 13th, 1832 in Bangor, County Down, Ireland. Robert's father was Robert William Reid and his mother is Mary More. His paternal grandparents were Robert Reid and Margaret McDonald. He had four brothers named George, James, Hugh and William. He died at the age of 86 on May 20th, 1919 in Kiewa, Victoria, Australia.General Notes
