Jean Kathryn was born on July 11th, 1923 in Fostoria, Ohio. Jean Kathryn's father was Harry Edwin Graf and her mother was Madge April Kinsey. Her paternal grandparents were Charles F. Graf and Emma Knapp; her maternal grandparents were Morris L. Kinsey and Elizabeth Hughes. She had a sister named Emma Elizabeth "Bette". She was the younger of the two children. My fondest memories of my mom were growing up. She was very happy then and loved getting us all together -
going along with the crazy stunts we used to do...cousins lip-syncing to songs, putting on "shows", etc. She was always
"there for me" - taking me to my horseback riding lessons. She loved being with dad the most, and this was most
prevalent after he died...she slowly deteriorated. When she died in 1997, I felt she'd be a happier soul if she thought she
was going to be with dad.
