John (5th Earl of Herford) was born in 1306. John (5th Earl of Herford)'s father was + Humphrey 4th Earl of Herford De Bohun and his mother was --Elizabeth Plantagenet. His paternal grandparents were + Humphry (Earl) De Bohun and Maud Countess Essex De Fiennes; his maternal grandparents were + Edward I 'Longshanks' King of England and + Eleanor De Castilla. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Humphry (6th Earl of Herford), Edward, + William (1st Earl of Northampton), Eneas, Edmund, Eleanor and + Margaret. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 30 in 1336.-
