Gunhild was born in 0967.1  Gunhild's father was Mieszko Piast of Poland and her mother was Dobravy of Bohemia.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Ziemomysl of Poland and Gorka of Poland; her maternal grandparents were Duke Boleslav (The Cruel) of Bohemia I and Duchess of Bohemia Biagota of Stockow. She had a brother named Vladivoj. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named The Brave, Eckhard and The White.  She died at the age of 47 in 1014.1

Gunhild and Forkbeard were married in 0990.1  They had two sons and five daughters, named Canute, Harold, Estrid, Nevia, Thyra, Gytha and Gunhilda.
