Garcia was born in 0931 in Spain.1   Garcia's father was Count Fernan Gonzalez de Lara and his mother was Sancha de Pamplona.  His paternal grandparents were Count Gonzalo Fernandez de Castile & Burgos and Muniadomna de Castile; his maternal grandparents were King of Pamplona Sancho (Optimo Imperator) Garces I and Urraca Anzarez de Aragon. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Gonzalo, Sancho, Nuno, Urraca, Munia and Fronilda.  He died at the age of 64 on May 3rd, 0995 in Cordoba, Andalusia, Spain.1

They had a son and four daughters, named Sancho, Elvira, Elvira, Toda and Oneca.
