William de Ferrers

William was born in 1066 in Darley, Derbyshire, England.¹ William's father was Henry de Ferrers and his mother was Bertha de l' Aigle. His paternal grandparents were Walchelin de Ferrers and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Engenulph de l' Aigle and Richeride. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Engenulf, Amice, Emmeline and Gundreda. He was the second oldest of the six children.
