Eli "Pap" Underwood 
Eli "Pap" was born on January 18th, 1850 in Taylor Co., KY. Eli "Pap"'s father was Green Berry Underwood and his mother was Mary Rachel "Polly" Sprowls. His paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. He had three brothers and six sisters, named William B., Green Berry, Hiram Jackson, Sarah "Sally" N., Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Ursula, Celia Betty and Jane. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Alfred Thomas, John Logan, Rosetta, Mattie Green, Lona Bell and Grace Ann. He died at the age of 91 on October 2nd, 1941 in Mower, MN.-
