Emund, known as The Old, was born about 1005 in Sweden.1   The Old's father was King of Sweden Olaf (Skotkonung) Eriksson III and his mother was Princess Edla of Sweden.  His paternal grandparents were Erik Bjornsson VI and Sigrid (The Haughty) Storrada Skoglar-Testedot. He had a brother and a sister, named The Old and Astrid.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Anund and Ingigerd.  He died in 1060.1

They had a son and a daughter, named Anund and Queen Edmundsdotter of Sweden.
