William Knox Murphy 
William Knox was born on February 26th, 1924 in Rutherford County ,TN. William Knox's father was Robert Emmett Murphy and his mother was Lola Elinor Dill. His paternal grandparents were James Knox Polk Murphy and Sarah Frances Jane Edwards. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert Emmett, Lola Elinor and Frances Lee. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 63 on March 16th, 1987 in Biloxi, MS. He was buried on March 19th, 1987 in Biloxi National Cemetery, Sect J. Site 349..General Notes
