Robert Emmett was born on October 20th, 1916 in Rutherford County TN. Robert Emmett's father was Robert Emmett Murphy and his mother was Lola Elinor Dill. His paternal grandparents were James Knox Polk Murphy and Sarah Frances Jane Edwards. He had a brother and two sisters, named William Knox, Lola Elinor and Frances Lee. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died due to Lung cancer and emphasima at the age of 62 on July 13th, 1979 in Rutherford County ,TN. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery Murfreesboro TN.General Notes
