Mary Catherine Henson was born in 1786 in Botetourt Co., Virginia. Mary Catherine Henson's father was John Henson and her mother was Mary Magdalena Wall. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Henson and Anne Rosse. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Conrad Henson, John Wesley Henson, Elizabeth Henson and Rebecca Henson. She was the oldest of the five children.-
