Elizabeth Henson was born in 1794 in Wilkes, North Carolina. Elizabeth Henson's father was John Henson and her mother was Mary Magdalena Wall. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Henson and Anne Rosse. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Conrad Henson, John Wesley Henson, Mary Catherine Henson and Rebecca Henson. She was the second youngest of the five children.-
