Presley Harrison was born on March 17th, 1839 in Long Branch MO.1 Presley Harrison's father was John D. Goodnight and his mother was Frances Pond Childress. His paternal grandparents were Edward Goodnight and Sarah "Sally" Dye. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joshua C., Edward, James Thomas, William Henry, Ruth J., Dulcena Pendleton, Sarah Ann, Lucinda and Mary Margaret.
