Eve was born in 1100 in Bristol, Gloucester, England.1   Eve's father was Estmond of Mercia and her mother was Godgifu of Coventry.  Her maternal grandparents were Sheriff of Lincoln Thorold of Buckingham and Beatrice Malet. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named The Saxon, le Wake and Erminhild.  She died at the age of 70 on March 12th, 1170.2

Eve and The Devout were married about 1119 in England.3   They had two sons and three daughters, named Maurice, The Observer, Helen, Alice and Margaret.
