Nancy Elkin 
Nancy was born on November 25th, 1808 in Green Co.,Kentucky. Nancy's father was Abel Elkin and her mother was Mary (Polly) Skaggs. Her maternal grandparents were William (Squire) Skaggs and Mary Simpson. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William Melton, James, Abel ,Jr., Rachel, Betty, Polly, Diadema and Melvina. She was the second oldest of the nine children.-
