Joan was born in 1261 in Caus Castle, Wattlesborough, Shropshire, England.1 Joan's father was Robert de Corbet and her mother was Katherine le Strange. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Richard de Corbet III and Petronilla de Booley; her maternal grandparents were John le Strange III and Lucy de Tregoz. She had a sister named Sibyl. She was the older of the two children. She had a half-brother named Thomas. She died at the age of 32 in 1293.2 -
