Gurney Stafford

Gurney was born on April 17th, 1914 in Avery Co, NC. Gurney's father was Sylvester 'Vester' Stafford and his mother was Matilda Woody. His paternal grandparents were Howard Clark Stafford and Ellen S. Goforth. He had three brothers and a sister, named Edgar B., Orville Howard, David Talmage and Maude Mullis. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 76 on March 26th, 1991 in Mitchell Co, NC.
