Nancy Jane was born on February 12th, 1824 in York Co, SC.1   Nancy Jane's father was Henry Houser and her mother was Faithy Jones.  Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Jones and Faithy Roberts. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John T., Henry Robertson, Cyrus Johnson, David R., Jane Christina, Eliza, Faithy L. and Harriet Hannah.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 89 on April 7th, 1913.
