Sidney Simmons

Sidney was born on March 28th, 1846 in Van Buren Co, TN. Sidney's father was Benjamin Lewis Simmons Sr. and his mother was Nancy Caroline Beatty. His paternal grandparents were Joseph N. Simmons and Mary Elizabeth 'Betty' Lewis. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Charles Taylor, Joseph R., Benjamin Lewis, Sophronia F. and Margaret D.. He was the oldest of the six children.
