William A. Roberts

William A. was born in November 1840 in Haywood Co, TN.¹ William A.'s father was Woodson Roberts and his mother was Mahala Roberts. His paternal grandparents were Mark William Roberts and Lucretia Christina Parish; his maternal grandparents were William Roberts and Lucy Jane Umstead. He had two brothers and two sisters, named James L., Willis H. Len, Narscissa W. and Susan A. P.. He was the second oldest of the five children.¹
