William K. was born in 1844 in Robertson Co, TN.1   William K.'s father was John Calvin Holman and his mother was Winney Ford Roberts.  His maternal grandparents were Ephraim Roberts and Nancy Harris. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James Benjamin, Wesley Carroll, Elizabeth Payne, Missamer, Emily Augusta, Mary Marandah and Virginia.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 54 on June 18th, 1898 in Bowling Green, Butler Co, KY.  He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green, Warren Co, KY.1
